This past weekend the 1948 American LaFrance traveled to Jeffersonville Indiana to attend the SPAAMFAA National Convention and Muster. The truck was transported by Jack Leahy. Although the temperatures reached a scorching 102° degrees, the truck drafted quickly and ran for almost 4 hours without incident. The truck was one of the most talked about, because people were pleasantly surprised it was still fire company owned, and in great condition.

Fire company member Charles Reese was on hand to answer all questions, and to display this antique apparatus that is a true gem for the Borough of Columbia.
