The volunteers were busy this afternoon answering 3 calls in 90 minutes. The first call was for Ladder 80 to assist Company 76 with a fire alarm on Ironville Pike. Then Company 80 and mutual aid were sent to the 800 block of Walnut Street for a house fire. The problem was electrical and held to Engine 80. Ladder 80 was returned to staff Rescue 80 for a reported house fire in West Hempfield Township. Rescue/Engine 80 was placed available as it was arriving. Earlier in the day, Rescue 80 assisted EMS with a medical emergency in the borough.
