Fire Prevention and Safety

The Columbia Borough Fire Department strives to provide quality fire safety and fire prevention education to the citizens of Columbia.

Our fire safety education includes:

• Annual programs for all Columbia Borough schools, Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs, daycare programs, seniors programs, religious and civic organizational programs. We also demonstrate the proper use of fire extinguishers for manufacturing and industrial companies.
• Fire Safety Educational tools, including Sparky the Fire Dog™, Sesame Street™ Puppet Show, and the Stop, Drop & Roll simulator.
• Certified Operators of the LCFA Fire Safety Trailer.
