The first alarm assignment was struck on Box 80-03 to the 100 block of South Fifth Street in the borough for a structure fire late last night. Engine 80 arrived with a 2.5 story end of the row with fire throughout the unit with extension to the Delta exposure. Crews from Engine 80 and York 41 advanced multiple lines and Ladder 80 was briefly used its master stream to extinguish the fire. A second alarm was requested for additional manpower due to the weather. Crews worked the scene for nearly 5 hours before clearing. Thank you to all the units that assisted on the scene and to York Engine 19 and Dauphin Tower 88 for back filling the borough for us.
