This morning, nearly 20 volunteers from Columbia were joined with members from Companies 63 and 90 for Haz-Mat Operations Refresher. During the class, the Rescue was alerted to assist EMS with a medical emergency in the borough. Just prior to lunchtime Squad/Boat 801 made the response to the Susquehanna River for a water rescue assisting West Hempfield Fire/Rescue. The crew from Boat 801 assisted by police officers rescued a male from the river and returned him to the River Park for EMS.
